Collected anywhere in Australia

Sydney or a station in the Kimberley, it starts the same way: we pick the car up from wherever it is and take it to the nearest sensible port.

Everywhere else

Most cars leave from one of the five big container ports, but they do not have to start near one.

  • CBR

    Canberra and the ACT

Inland, so the car makes a road trip to the coast first. We collect from your address and plan the run to the port.

  • TAS

    Hobart and Tasmania

An island start means the first leg is usually across Bass Strait to the mainland. We plan both legs and tell you how it will go.

  • DRW

    Darwin and the Northern Territory

Home of the Outback Australia plate this whole site is styled on. Distances up here are big, so we plan the route before anything moves.

  • OUT

    Regional and remote

A farm, a mining town, a station a day’s drive from anywhere. If it is in Australia, we can collect it. It just takes a bit more planning.

Three time zones, and the UK behind all of them

A UK morning is the evening on the east coast and late afternoon in Perth, so it helps to know which zone the car is in when we are arranging collection.

WA 7 to 8 hrs NT 8½ to 9½ hrs SA 8½ to 10½ hrs QLD 9 to 10 hrs TAS 9 to 11 hrs VIC 9 to 11 hrs NSW 9 to 11 hrs
  • UTC+8 Western Australia
  • UTC+9½ Northern Territory, South Australia
  • UTC+10 Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, the ACT
  • Daylight saving from the first Sunday in October to the first Sunday in April

Hours are how far ahead of the UK each state is. They shift through the year because both countries change their clocks, in opposite directions and on different dates. Broken Hill, in New South Wales, keeps South Australian time.

About collection

Do you really collect anywhere in Australia?

Yes. We collect from your address, a dealer, an auction yard or wherever the car is being kept, anywhere in the country, and take it to the nearest sensible port.

Does it cost more from somewhere remote?

The collection leg costs more the further the car has to travel to a port. Tell us exactly where it is in the quote form and the quote will include it.

Does it take longer from the west coast?

Every Australian departure sits within the same broad window: around 6 to 10 weeks at sea and 10 to 16 weeks door to door. Your quote gives you the timing for your car.

Make, model, year and where it is. We come back with an itemised quote, and aim to do it the same working day.
